Dan Lavis - Golf Course Developer
Mr. Lavis has been in the golf course industry for over 25 years.
He has designed and built and/or expanded golf courses throughout Canada.
Some of the courses he has built/improved include:
• Kleinburg Golf Club, Kleinburg, Ontario 14 hole expansion
• Shelburne Golf Club, Shelburne, Ontario
• Cardinal Golf Club
• Newmarket, Ontario (72 hole course)
• Langbridge Golf Club
• Mount Pleasant, Ontario
• Buck’s Crossing Hanover, Ontario
• Steve Plunkett, London, Ontario (private design).
Currently, Dan is the course superintendent and construction manager at the Tarandowah
Golfers Club. This is a British links golf course designed by renowned architect Martin Hawtree
and completed construction in June 2007.
Dan is married with 2 children and resides in Ingersoll, Ontario Canada. Dan obtained his diploma graduating with high honours from the Seneca Golf Course Technician Program. And has taken additional education from the University of Guelph. |
